Dubai International Airport (DXB) is bracing for a large influx of passengers as residents return from their summer holidays, WAM said in a statement on Wednesday.
The airport expects to welcome 3.43 million passengers from 21 August to 2 September.
According to a press release issued by DXB, an average daily number of 264,000 passengers is expected during this period.The busiest days are forecast to be 31 August and 1 September, with more than half a million passengers expected during these two days.
The airport is expected to handle the largest number of passengers on 1 September, with 291 000 passengers.
Dubai Airports works closely with airlines, air traffic control authorities and service partners to ensure smooth operations for all passengers.
